Galaxies Ablaze - Game Help Manual

Population
Population is the resource that you use to draft Soldiers and Scientists. Population also provides income in the form of taxes. Your population is updated each hour, and may grow, shrink, or remain unchanged. Population is also gained or lost in a successful attack.

If you have adequate housing for your military and civilians, your population will grow. However, if you do not have enough Military Barracks, Stardocks, and Space Stations to house your military, the military will move into Civilian Residences or Skyscrapers and displace the population. If you do not have enough Civilian Residences and Skyscrapers, population that does not have a place to live becomes homeless and dies very quickly over time. Homeless population consumes power, but does not pay taxes and cannot be drafted for Soldiers or Scientists.

If at any time your population becomes zero, your planet dies, so it is imperative that you keep enough Civilian Residences, Skyscrapers, Military Barracks, Stardocks, and Space Stations to house the military and civilian population of your planet.
